Week2 Bmt (Enhanced batch)

Alot of people have been asking me why i book out today. It is because I'm in the enhanced batch. Today is my book out day but tml book in. Only around 400 people book out today, so it didint cause a storm compared to 6000+ people book out. Haa.

Enhanced (leadership) batch: There are only 4-5 company in both bmtc 1 & 2 that purely take enhanced batch only. Those that pass their nafa will go into this batch. 60% to 70% of this batch will go into commanding school. The other 30% will go into combat unit. In addition we will ORD earlier, which means we only need to serve 1 year and 10 months. However POP (passing out of bmtc) is still the same as ippt batch. I was the only idiot that didnt know about this. All these times, i was assuming that the only difference between ippt batch and enhanced batch was that the ippt batch only need to go in one month earlier. Thanks to the oc (company commander) and company mates for enlighten me. haa

You may think the enhanced batch is good but you are wrong. When you in this batch, everything was in rush and the commanders teach very fast and keep saying " you all should know rite because you are the enhanced batch." What i was thinking was "passing nafa test doesnt means we are smarter." Also we are cramped with activities. The very first two week, we already draw arms, done our 6 km road march, done two soc lessons ( i didnt join the lessons), done finish shooting the computerised m16, etc etc, and next week is already our live range. Futhermore at august 10 is my 7 days field camp. In addition to that, most of my book out day doesnt fall on weekends and we only have 3/4 day. ( Today book out, tml book in). Most people in this batch had join before uniform group and most are from mcc. They already know alot stuffs.

So if you are those wanting to go into commanding school (sispec or ocs), i recommend you to come to this batch by passing your nafa. However at this batch, the pressure is high and things are moving at high speed because almost all in this batch wanted to enter commanding school and are trying to perform well. There are times when i can't catch up.

As for me, i only want a normal two year ns service. Either chosen to go into commanding school or not, it's fine with me. I just hated field camp with camo on! Anyway I only want a peaceful ns life. Neither chao keng nor chiongster.
